Create Your Own Favicon.ico
In the Internet world, there are hundred of thousand of sites. You may have your own site or personal blog. You must want to make your site or blog different from the others. You design them with all your imagination and attempt to make them more beautiful and impressions, so the users or your friends will visit again.
So today, I would to tell you how to create your own favicon, like the Google logo displaying the image on the browser address bar and browser tabs when you view their sites.
Following my guider, it’s easy to create your own icon.
1. You design your own pics with any image software, such as Photoshop, Fireworks, and Windows Painting. And you should make it with 100*100 pixels.
2. Go ahead this site: http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/
This is the most useful site for creating favicon from pictures.
3. Click the Browse button to upload the picture which you have design for your site or blog.
4. Click the “Generate FavIcon.ico” button to create your own icon. You need to wait for a moment.
5. Then you can down load the generated file by click the “Download FavIcon Package”. And save it at your computer. Upzip the file, and you will see three files.
6. Installing the favicon to your site or blog.
1. Upload favicon.ico to the root of your web folder.
2. Add the following HTML code to your web page, in between <head> and </head> tags:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" >
