1. Synchronize any folder you want
After install Dropbox software, usually it will create a folder named My Dropbox on your PC. Only the files store in this folder can be synchronized. If you want to synchronize any folder you want, it needs junction or mklink tools.
For Windows XP users, Microsoft provides a small tool called junction, you can create and delete a junction directory on the NTFS system. And the contents of the directory are the same as the original directory. If you do any change of the contents, and the other will be a corresponding changed. Junction directory is a feature of NTFS file system, but Windows XP did not have the tools to do operation, needing to download an exe file (Download the zip file: Junction.zip). For Windows 7 OS has been under internal support, the command is mklink, using the methods as the same as junction.
2. Synchronize your MSN chat content
How to synchronize the MSN chat content is always the trouble. Dropbox can be achieved synchronization between the different places chat content such as your home, work office.
First, set a folder as the junction directory with the above operation, and then change your MSN chat content folder to the new folder which you have setup before. And files store in the folder will be synchronized by Dropbox, so your chat content will also be updating.
3. Synchronize IE Favorites
The IE Favorites path is that C: \ Documents and Settings \ Administrator \ Favorites by default setting. We can modify this default path through change the registry data. Open the editor, and head to HKEY_USERs \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ User Shell Folders, and then change the Favorites value to the My Dropbox directory. Do the modification on your PCs, and Dropbox will do the work for you.
