Firefox 3.6 good and bad
Mozilla Firefox new version 3.6 has released for several days. I’m sure that many 3.5 users have updated to the 3.6 edition and so am I.
From the Computerworld testing report, Firefox 3.6 speed is three times than Opera, four times than IE 8, and 15% up Firefox 3.5 when deal with the Javascript.
However, even Firefox 3.6 do a lot of improvement, still behind Apple Safari and Google Chrome. This testing is on Windows XP SP3 with SunSpider JavaScript testing software for three times and then make out the result.
From some other news, Firefox 3.6 has also some badness. From the report, Firefox 3.6 got 94/100 score during the Web standard Acid3 testing, which 100 score is just get the pass. Although it’s not some fatal weakness, not march the Web Standard is always the badness. We make the standard rule, and then we need to follow the rule, so the internet will be in right direction.
From now, the engineers from Mozilla have modified the problem, and the stability and efficiency of Firefox is much better.
