Gmail has updated to a full https mail services
The blog has published a new post about Google mail service. This post announces that, in 2008, Google had released the mail service with https address. This method can prove your online data from being monitored, even under WiFi connection.
However, this technology has a fatal shortcoming that it will result the speed of your connection, because the unencrypted data travels faster than the encrypted data. After several months research, Google email team decide to use this data encrypted method, and make it as the default setting. But you can reset this setting as you want. If you think your email content isn’t important and want to higher transporting speed, you can set the “Don’t always use https” as showing blow.
