Google

Recently Google will end IE 6 support, if you are still using IE 6 browser, you would need to update to a new version or head to some other browsers such as Firefox, Chrome. From Google announcement they will officially end to support for IE 6 and other old browsers beginning in March.

This may have relation with the former attack against Google site from IE 6, and of course Google need to do some thing to keep their security. I think there are some reasons more. Think about that IE 6 is nearly a decade old, ten years for internet develop is a long time, but there are still many visitors use IE 6. From the statistic date of my site, there are about 40~50% visitors using IE 6, so it is time for the IE 6 retirement.

According to Google announcement, Google will stop supporting IE 6 and other old browsers in Google Docs and Google Sites in March and Gmail and Google Calendar later on in the year. They will supporte browsers include IE 7 and above, Firefox 3 and above, and Safari 3 and above and Google Chrome.

Yes it is time to throw IE 6 away into the trashcan. It doesn’t means we are just like the latest products. IE 6 is the best product in the past, and the IE 6 time is past. The whole web step will never stop, and we would like to follow the step.

I think some people don’t like to update their wares. They claimed that they are used to utilize the older version, if do some great change they will not find the buttons. Just like me, but now I like to do some upgrade. The new version must contain some new features or fix some bugs.

If you are still use IE 6, you can install IE 7 or above version, or Firefox, chrome.
