Shopping and Climate
In recent days, the Copenhagen Climate Conference is processing. More and more people take great care of this conference, because it maybe do something different with our unique earth.
And today, I would like to talk about how to protect our environment when you doing your shopping in your daily life.
First, I want to say shopping and climate has great relationship between each other. Looking at the image at the top right, the dead trees and the boundless desert maybe caused by one of your supermarket shopping. You will say that’s impossible and there is nothing to do with me.
Then follow the questions below, and you will get the your idea:
1. Do you like drink beer? Yes, I like it very much.
2. Where do you get your beer? In stores.
3. Where do the stores get their beer? From the beer factory.
4. Why does the factory produce beer? For many people like to buy, such as you.
5. How does the factory produce the beer? They use water, rice and some other materials.
6. Where do these materials from? They all from NATURE.
…
That’s right, you cause every. So we need take good care of our earth when you do shopping. If everyone do a little contribution, our environment will be better. The following are some DOS and DON’TS:
1. Don’t always buy some products which do harm to the environment. Some old frig which contains chemical called Freon do great harm to Ozone.
2. Don’t always drive your private car, some times taking subway or bus is more convenient. As we know, the US the largest car empire through out the world. Everyday, these vehicle emit large amounts of toxic gases which is real bad to human’s health.
3. Do use paper-made bags to replace the plastic ones. When you plan to do market shopping, remember to bring the shopping bag with you.
We do have one earth, taking good care with it as your own child. The blue and bright planet will support our family forever!
